During the eleventh Republican debate, there was plenty of mindless anger, misinformed talking points, and ridiculous accusations flying around. Such things can be depressing, but it’s important not to distract from the most important thing to happen that evening: Senator Ted Cruz ate a booger on national TV.
Ted Cruz was in the middle of appealing to voters, “I understand the folks who are supporting Donald. You’re angry, you’re angry at Washington and he uses angry rhetoric-”
At this point in the speech, Ted Cruz decided he’d been waiting on his feast long enough. Ignoring the crowd’s horrified screams, he calmly ate his own booger and continued to make his point. Perhaps Cruz was concerned that his plan to demolish the public sector for ideological purposes wasn’t quite repellent enough.
Still don’t believe it? Here’s a closer look.
Ironically, many who watched the GOP debate report that this incident was actually the least disgusting thing they’d seen or heard on Fox News in years.
